' Eco-Fare' is a combination of 'Eco', meaning environmentally friendly, and 'Welfare' , and aims to create sustainable social value through ethical production and consumption . The goal is to simultaneously solve environmental pollution problems and create jobs for the socially vulnerable, and to establish a virtuous cycle of environment, welfare, and economy, thereby improving the global environment and the quality of life for humanity.

Resource depletion and environmental pollution resulting from production and consumption are fueling a vicious cycle of climate crisis and human conflict and disputes surrounding resources and the environment. We need nationwide action and practice to transform existing production and consumption patterns, which exacerbate the global climate crisis and social conflict, into sustainable production and consumption methods.

The Eco-Fair Campaign National Movement Headquarters was launched on December 20, 2019, at Seoul Plaza in Seoul City Hall. It is a nationwide campaign to promote environmental welfare, with the participation of local governments, public institutions, international organizations, and heads of civil society organizations from all walks of life, to encourage and practice sustainable production and consumption by social economy enterprises and global citizens who voluntarily respond to social issues related to the environment and welfare.
