The International Leaders Union (ILU) aims to build a global community where diverse cultures and economies coexist and prosper through national and local international cooperation. It was officially launched on March 4, 2002, with the official support of the Speakers of the Korean and US National Assembly and the participation of key founding members of the National Assembly, heads of local governments, high-ranking public officials, former and current ministers, and key national leaders from both countries. As a non-profit international civil society organization under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, with its global headquarters in Korea, the ILU has been actively engaged in international exchange and private diplomacy activities for the past decade, including fostering the vision and values of international leaders, fostering next-generation global talent for the human community, and establishing the National Assembly Taekwondo Club, comprised of 50 members of the ruling and opposition parties of the Republic of Korea National Assembly, and promoting Taekwondo diplomacy.

program
As a program to cultivate next-generation leaders who will contribute to the international community, we hold the annual Wisdom Education Forum Academic Seminar, a regular forum of the National Assembly dedicated to fostering creative talent in elementary and secondary schools, and support programs for OVAL KOREA, a university student organization from Korea, China, and Japan. International activities include building a global education network service with the UN Economic and Social Council to share wisdom and future value. This network service is provided to universities in developing countries to bridge the knowledge and information gap and support online consultations between governments on various global issues. We also promote public interest projects such as the Global Saemaul Movement, which aims to alleviate global poverty and promote the common good of humanity.
